ShopZoon: Inventory, POS and udhaar for local shops

Demo product, not a client project. ShopZoon was designed and built by Zoon Software as an in-house demo to show what we can deliver. The business name and every record in it are sample data. There is no real client behind it, and we make no claims about results.

Context and problem

A typical general store keeps stock in the owner's head and udhaar in a notebook. Items run out without warning, credit balances are argued over, and the owner cannot tell what the shop actually earned this week after expenses.

Our contribution

Zoon Software planned, designed and built ShopZoon end to end as an internal product: the user flows, the interface, the data model and a working web app you can log in to. The demo setting is Al-Madina General Store, Commercial Market, Rawalpindi (sample shop).

Solution and key features

• A point of sale that works on a phone or laptop: search or scan, tap items into the cart, add a rupee discount, take cash or udhaar, and save the bill.
• Receipts that print or open in WhatsApp with the bill text.
• Stock that drops automatically with each sale and rises with each supplier purchase, plus low-stock alerts.
• Customer udhaar ledgers: credit sales raise the balance, payments lower it, and a WhatsApp reminder is one tap away.
• Suppliers, purchases and simple expenses (rent, salary, utilities).
• Daily, weekly and monthly reports with sales, gross profit, expenses and net.
• Owner and Cashier roles. The cashier runs the counter but cannot see profit, purchases or expenses.

Technology

Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Recharts. Runs with no database setup for the demo; the data layer is separated so it can move to Postgres (Neon or Supabase) for a real client.
